Yiddish Literature or Yiddish Prints [Jiddische Drucke] is a database of nearly 800 Yiddish books printed in Hebrew letters in West, Central, and East Europe from the middle of the 16th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Located within the Judaica digital collections of the Frankfurt am Main University Library, the Yiddish Literature collection is especially notable for its variety of Yiddish dialects and themes as well as the number of extremely rare books, including several unique editions. The titles span topics ranging from women's bibles (Tse'na Re'ena), to liturgy, medical guide books, science and education, works on religious customs (Minhagim), legends, historical chronicles and translations of well known tales. While not all texts have been edited with OCR nor are fully text searchable, all texts are downloadable as PDF documents.
