The successor of the Jewish Online Museum site, Jewish Lives is a website that exists to tell the story of Jewish people who settled in New Zealand and the contributions they have made to New Zealand society. Consisting mostly of informative articles written about Jewish individuals and communities in New Zealand's past and present, as well as news and online exhibitions, their content aims to help communicate the complexities and diverse expression of what it is to be Jewish – with a particular and present focus on Jews in New Zealand. Their collection is made up of photographic images of objects, documents, and materials privately and publicly owned by individuals and organisations across New Zealand which have been reproduced with the permission of their owners and are represented on loan to Jewish Lives.
