The Ilanot Project is a two-fold project: it aims to be both a database that contains a searchable descriptive catalogue of kabbalistic diagrams in manuscripts and books from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century, as well as an effort to produce a series of critical editions of several exemplars of these diagrams. Hosted by the University of Haifa’s Nazarian Library Digital Media Center, the Ilanot Database will enable scholars to search for "ilanot" - kabbalistic divinity maps that are illustrative diagrams of kabbalistic theosophical cosmology according to historical period, cultural-regional context, concepts diagrammed, and aesthetic criteria, among other factors. The database is still in development as of November 2021.
