The IWO Foundation - Institute for Jewish Research [Biblioteca Digital, Fundación IWO - Instituto Judio de Investigationes] is a non-profit focusing on preserving, researching, and disseminating documentary materials on the history, culture, and languages of the Jewish people. It was created in 1925 in Vilna and soon after established its headquarters in Buenos Aires, which began to work independently after the Second World War. Within the IWO, the Digital Library is an ongoing project to preserve original material (including documents, books, manuscripts, and audio and video recording) in the archives of the IWO and in private collections, digitize these materials, and facilitate access to them through an online website available to the public. Although nearly one million documents have so far been digitized, the process in ongoing and this material is not yet available to users on their website.
