Compact Memory is a project of digitizing and making publically accessible Jewish periodicals from the 18th-20th centuries. A portal located within the "Judaica" digital collections of the library of Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main [Universitätsbibliothek Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main], Compact Memory includes nearly 400 digitized Jewish periodicals from the German speaking world that were originally printed from 1768-1938. The periodicals span topics ranging from religion to politics, society, literature, and academia and nearly all titles have been edited with OCR and made fully text searchable.
