CemeteryScribes is a database of headstone inscriptions from Jewish cemeteries throughout the UK compiled by volunteers. The aim of this project is to preserve for future generations for free the information that has been inscribed over the centuries on headstones across the UK before it is lost to time. Headstone inscriptions, photographs, and other biographical data (including mini family trees, census returns, wills, birth and marriage registers, and more) as far as they are known, are also listed for each individual. Users can also see a full list of the cemeteries covered and browse through the records, photos and inscriptions for each headstone in the "Headstones by Cemetery" section.
