The Bibliotheca Iiddica is part of Bibliotheca Augustana, a project by emeritus professor of communication design and electronic publishing at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Ulrich Harsch. It has been a private project on the university's web server since 1997 and is a digital library of online texts from the literatures of the world. The site is in Latin and the Bibliotheca Iiddica is broken down into three sections: 1) a chronological index of Yiddish literary history with links to works that are available online (the "index chronologicus"), 2) an alphabetical index of pages devoted to Yiddish writers and texts with links to works that are available online (the "index alphabeticus"), and 3) a links page pointing to other useful resources on the Internet ("auxiliaria" or "hilfsmitl").
