The Association for Jewish Studies (AJS) is hosting their 53rd Annual Conference from December 19-21, 2021 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Pegged as the "largest annual international gathering of Jewish Studies scholars in the world," the AJS will host more than 190 sessions, including a major book exhibit of leading publishers, cultural programming, plenary, and awards, with estimates that there will be more than 1200 attendees.

Of particular note for DHJewish is the individual presentation "The Crowdsourced Digital Archive" by Clara Byom of the Klezmer Institute during the panel session "Jewish Music: The Celebrated and the Forgotten" on Sun, December 19 from 4:45 to 6:15pm as well as the panel session "Can Big Data Tools Answer the Pivotal Questions of Jewish Literature?" on Mon, December 20 from 9:00 to 10:30am. November 13 was the deadline for pre-conference registration. All registration afterwards must be done on-site.
