Visualizing the English Translations of the Pesach Haggadah from 1770 to Now is located within the Jewish Digital Humanities blog run by Avraham Roos, a part of his PhD research project that aims to examine a large selection of the 700+ different Hebrew to English translations of the Haggadah. Using contemporary digital tools, the project focuses particularly on comparisons and analysis between the Ashkenazi traditional editions in order to advance the current research on multiple English translations of the Haggadah. The aim of the project is to explore and analyse a corpus of multiple, historical, and contemporary retranslations of this semi-liturgical text with cross-cultural significance looking at both the traditional linguistic and the more contemporary cultural side of translation.
