With a background in physics, Hebrew studies and theoretical linguistics, I obtained my PhD in computational linguistics at the University of Groningen (Netherlands) in 2006, with a thesis on the implementation of Optimality Theory. As a postdoc, I worked and taught in Hungary, the Netherlands and the US. Since 2014, I have been affiliated with the Department of Assyriology and Hebrew Studies of ELTE Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, and since 2018, with the Jewish Theological Seminary – University of Jewish Studies, Hungary.
